A few weeks ago I stopped in at JM Kennedy Dance Studio to get the “scoop” on pole fitness...
A hot new workout designed to challenge your body and mind. The workout is designed for all fitness levels and centers around using all of your muscle groups to pull your body up and around a pole like an exotic dancer. The workout is great for your abs and requires you to use your own body weight to “work the pole” to build strong and toned muscles. The workout routines are set to a mix of pulsing dance music to make it fun and keep you moving. Jennifer Kennedy, the owner of the studio, instructs the class through every movement to insure proper form to achieve the greatest results. The workout is a melting pot of pure pleasure and a great way to better your health (and improve your love life!!!)
In addition to pole dancing, the studio also offers instruction on the following: Belly Dancing, Core Rhythm Workouts, Poleates, Sassy Salsa Dance, and Chair Dancing. Additional services include glamour shots, bachelorette and birthday parties and the studio is happy to organize dance instruction for special interest groups.
